Chanel's Paris Runway Was About Coffee... Sort Of

Last year Chanel's head designer and creative director Karl Lagerfeld delighted Paris Fashion Week attendees by strutting his models down the aisles of a grocery store. This year, the fashion guru did it again by transforming the Grand Palias in Paris into a Parisian Brassiere. After gliding down the runway in Lagerfeld's ruffles and soft tweeds, models sat down at tables, posing as cafe customers.

'It' models Cara Delevingne and Kendall Jenner chatted nonchalantly at the custom-made bar, while Joan Smalls waved down a handsome waiter serving espressos (we would have suggested some cold brew, but whatever).

Take a quick coffee break and check out some photos from the unique show below:

Ironically enough, as the creative helm for three fashion houses (Fendi, Chanel and his own brand) Lagerfeld told the AP that he doesn't even have time to lunch at a place like his imaginary 'Brasserie Gabrielle.'

As real as the runway looked, complete with plush red leather booth and croissants, we can assure you the models weren't actually eating.

They may have enjoyed a cup o' joe before the show, but that's all.
